ITINERARY

Day 1: Lima.
On your arrival at Lima international airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your selected hotel.
Evening: Overnight in Lima.

Day 2: Private afternoon Lima Tour.
12:30: transfer from your hotel to El Señorio de Sulco Restaurant (Peruvian and Creole food) where you will have a buffet lunch and try typical dishes from the Coast of Peru.
After lunch, we will drive you downtown into the city of the Kings; our English speaking guide will do his best for you to know Lima: the Plaza de Armas, with the baroque cathedral, the Palacio de Gobierno (Governors Palace), the Archbishop's Palace with its big carved wooden balconies, and the convent of San Francisco, whose bright yellow facade covers a grisly secret. Underneath the convent lie extensive catacombs that served as the cemetery for the whole of Lima during the colonial period!
Evening: Overnight in Lima.

Day 3: Flight Lima Cusco (11,150 ft).
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your early morning flight to Cusco.
On arrival at Cusco airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Hotel, located in the center of Cuzco; you will have time to rest and adjust to the altitude.

Afternoon: Private tour of Cusco and nearby Inca Ruins.
14:00: Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and show you the highlights of Cusco, the colonial cathedral, the great temple of Korikancha and the 4 impressive Inca ruins around Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, with its massive walls, Qenko, site of carved living rock, Puca Pucara, an Inca lodging Site & Tambo Machay, known as the Baths of the Inca.
Evening: Overnight in Cusco.

Day 4: Private tour of the Incas’ sacred valley.
After breakfast, you will be driven to the Incas’ sacred valley, visiting the famous Indian Market of Pisac where you'll be able to interact with the local families or buy handicraft, souvenirs, learn about the local culture, see the native villages and have a guided tour of Ollantaytambo Fortress, an incredible Royal Inca site where the Incas made one of their last stands against the Spanish.
Evening: Dinner and overnight in the sacred valley of the Incas (9,100 ft).

Day 5: Machu Picchu by train.
Morning: you will be transferred to Ollantaytambo train station to board the Vista dome train which will take you to Aguas Calientes (the base town of Machu Picchu).
Private guided tour of the hidden city of Machu Picchu (8,200 ft)
On your arrival at the train station, your guide will meet you and take a 25 minute bus journey to Machu Picchu, the most impressive and mysterious Inca Site where you will enjoy a private tour and learn more about the history of this site, who lived here, how it was discovered in modern times and why the Spaniards never found it. You will have some insight into the various features of this sacred city and have free time to really enjoy yourself alone in this spectacularly located site, an unforgettable experience that will stay with you forever!
Evening: Overnight in Machu Picchu-Aguas Calientes.

Day 6: The sun gate/Train journey back to Cusco (11,150 ft).
Early morning: You will have a guided tour of the last part of the Inca trail, the stone threshold of Intipunku (Sun Gate) and have the most amazing picture of Machu Picchu the most amazing & mysterious of all Inca Sites. Later you can climb Wayna Picchu Mountain or just explore the lost city on your own!

Afternoon: Train journey back to Cusco.
On arrival in Cusco, you will be transferred to your Hotel.
Evening: Overnight in Cusco.

Day 7: Flight Cusco – Lima. Romantic Dinner!
Transfer to the airport to board your morning flight to Lima.
On arrival at Lima airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Hotel located in Miraflores, the bustling, cosmopolitan area of the city.

Evening Romantic Dinner:
Our driver will pick you up from your Hotel and take you by private motorcar to the famous La Rosa Nautica Restaurant where you will have a specially prepared romantic dinner enjoying a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean under the stars! Our driver will pick you up from La Rosa Nautica and drive you back to your Hotel.
Evening: Overnight in Lima.

Day 8: Flight Lima Iquitos – Ceiba Tops.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board your early morning flight to Iquitos.
On arrival at Iquitos airport you will be met by our representative and have a brief city orientation then you will be transferred to the Explorama dock to start you Amazon adventure through the Amazon River, you will have a twenty-five journey down the Amazon to Ceiba Tops a very comfortable lodge where you will have a private room with air conditioning and hot water.
In the afternoon you will have a hike in the beautiful primary rainforest reserve surrounding Ceiba Tops which includes many huge trees festooned with epiphytes. After dinner there may be local flute or guitar music at the El Toucan Bar or you can hear the guides who are always ready to relate some of the many legends of the Amazon forest.
Evening: Overnight in Ceiba Tops.

Day 9: Ceiba Tops.
Morning boat ride spotting for dolphins, to visit a small village of Yagua Indians where your guide will explain you about the Yagua Indian culture and how it was affected by the arrival of Europeans and the passing of time. There will also be an opportunity to see some of the local crafts and for a demonstration of the blowgun which some of the Yagua elders still use for hunting. In the afternoon you will have a walking excursion to the neighboring town of Indiana. Originally a Franciscan mission, Indiana has grown into a large river community with its own market, high school and small hospital.
Evening: Overnight in Ceiba Tops.

Day 10: Ceiba Tops Canopy Walkway Ceiba Tops.
Early morning departure from Ceiba Tops by boat to the narrow motorcar crossing connecting the Amazon and Napo Rivers to continue by boat to Explor Napo Lodge for breakfast. Hike to the spectacular Canopy Walkway spanning over 500 meters (one-third of a mile), connected by tree platforms, and reaching a height of over 35 meters (115 feet) but accessible without any type of climbing skill or equipment. After lunch, visit the "ReNuPeRu" Ethnobotanical Garden where over 240 medicinal plants are cultivated by a local shaman who will explain the nature of Amazonian natural healing and the uses of some of the plants. Return to Ceiba Tops in time to enjoy the pool or hammocks before dinner.
Evening: Overnight in Ceiba Tops.

Day 11: Ceiba Tops Iquitos. Flight to Lima and Evening flight back home.
Your choice of a morning walking or boating excursion to further enjoy the rainforest and Amazon River or time to relax by the pool until departure time. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Iquitos and to the airport.
Arrival at Lima Airport early enough to check in your flight back home.
