We are very happy to introduce Travel 2 Latin America Inc. a customer oriented Travel Organization based in the US and founded by experts in traveling in South America America.
Although our main office is located in the metropolitan area of Atlanta GA, thanks to our network of English speaking Agents in the countries where our clients are traveling, we can ensure you a lifetime travel experience.
Mission Statement
We are a travel company dedicated to satisfying all our clients’ needs and interests, making their trip a once in a life time experience. At the same time we are dedicated to improving economic conditions of the different developing countries in Latin America by hiring local operators and guides in each country.
Vision
Expand business throughout Latin America by forming partnerships in other countries: Brazil, Argentina, as well as certain Central American countries such as Costa Rica. Design new types of travel experiences beyond what are available currently, for example to new sites opening up.
Objectives & Goals
Provide a superior travel experience that is customized to the individual traveler, whether a single person or a large group. The safety of each traveler is the prime goal. Each client will be treated with respect and receive special attention to his/her needs. We will provide a warm, professional, and knowledgeable service to all customers. We will offer an environmentally and socially conscious approach to tourism returning value to the culture of each country. We will work hard with each client to ensure that he/she will enjoy making their their dreams of visiting South America come true. We will treat each client as a friend and attempt to foster a high level of personality and trust. We will strive to create an everlasting memory of each voyage for every client. We will guide each traveler as a friend would guide his own friends.
Philosophy
Our philosophy is that your vacations are a time to forget your complex busy lives, relax in peace free from worry, and rejuvenate yourself. We want to mitigate stress, stimulate the senses, and send clients home with lasting memories of an amazing variety of experiences. We wish that each client will share a different culture and be rewarded by that experience.
Safety and Emergencies for clients
An emergency plan will be given to each client on arrival. It will include 24-hour telephone contact information in case of any unforeseen problems.
Our Team
Jay Smith
President and Founder
Jay Smith has a passion for Latin America and has written 3 books about Peru. (The Necklace, Ghost of the Rio Amazonas, & The Lost Treasure of Atahualpa, available on Amazon.com). He has travelled extensively in Peru and Latin America even to remote areas as part of expeditions, carrying the Explorers Club twice into Chachapoyan areas. He is fluent in Spanish and knows Latin culture very well. He has played a very important role in founding Travel 2 Latin America Inc.
Elias Campos
Director of Operations
Elias is the logistical master of Travel 2 Latin America. He gained his expertise from eight years of overseeing outdoor operations for ECS Trave in Peru.
His experience in organizing not only the Inca Trail trek but also family trips to the Amazon and Machu Picchu is the reason why every detail of each customer is carefully coordinated.
When Elias isn't in Lima Office he is inspecting hotels, talking with the tour guides or visiting a new destination to bring something new for our customers.
Karina Ubillus
Director of reservations
Karina has just joined our team since June 2008; she has worked for different airlines and travel Agencies.
She is in charge of requesting and confirming all services our customers will need for their trip.
Her excellent eye for detail ensures that all bookings of every T2LA customer’s trip are in order.
